My son may end up playing at Skidmore-Is this program ever competitive in the Libert league?  What are the thoughts on the head coach?

 The Liberty League is a tough conference, but Skidmore certainly holds their own. It's certainly a tough road with teams like RPI and Union (amongst so many others).  Ron is a first rate-guy and runs a solid program.  He's been around the game for a long time and knows what it takes to run a program properly.  If your son has a chance to play for him, I would encourage him to do so.
